16 - Bible Resources I Love

Some biblical resources I love are the YouVersion Bible App, Logos Bible App, and BLB App. I also for a time went through a course called ARMRA Courses by Manny Arango. That course was so profound to me. It awakened my love for scripture in a new way and brought context to passages I had never known about. I HIGHLY recommend the Armra Courses App.


I am doing a study on the names of God currently.


Did you know there are:


  • 9 Covenant Names of God

  • 7 Hebrew Names for God

  • 12 Descriptive Titles for God in the OT (Old Testament)

  • 9 Messianic/Prophetic Names for God in the OT

  • 7 Jesus’ own “I AM” Statements

  • 6 Titles for Christ in the NT (New Testament)

  • 9 Spirit of God (Holy Spirit Titles)

  • 17 Additional Titles (OT & NT blend)

  • 30 Metaphorical Names & Symbols of God


That totals 120 total names in scripture for God. I find this endlessly fascinating. 


Studying God’s word doesn’t have to be boring. I think He loves when we bring our interest and personality into our time with Him and what we choose to study about His Word.


If you’ve felt that reading scripture has been bland lately, I’d encourage you to dive deeper into a topic or concept in scripture that lights you up!


Developing a thirst for learning and especially towards scripture and the things of God is one way to spend your time that you will receive so much return on.
